Arrival
Checklist
o Turn
air conditioner/heater to ON
o Walk
around and inspect inside and outside of house.
Look for any problems.
o Check
mouse traps and fly paper in pantry
o Turn
on Sound System
o Adjust
pool/hot tub settings
o Launder
or fold any laundry left out to dry by previous group.
o Inspect
the putting green. Blow it off or sweep
up leaves if necessary. (Dad is no
longer paying a landscaping company to do this job weekly, so it is our
responsibility.)
Departure
Checklist
Kitchen/Family Room
o Clean
perishables out of refrigerators and pantry
o Scrub
countertops (make sure to wipe hidden food)
o Vacuum
all floor surfaces
o Wipe
fingerprints off sliding doors
o Wash
and put away all dishes
o Take
out kitchen trash
o Spot
mop kitchen floor
o Clean
out sinks and run disposal for a few seconds
Bedrooms
o Remove
and launder bedding and dirty towels
o Vacuum
o Wipe
down all bathrooms (mirrors, sinks, toilets, showers)
o Straighten
closets
o Replace
bedding and towels
Garage
o Sweep
garage floor
o Take
out trash
o Tidy
up pool toys, ping pong table, etc.
o Make
sure side garage door is locked
Outside
o Turn
Pool and Hot Tub to OFF (Control panel is in the Master)
o Make
sure the pool vacuum is plugged in
o Stack
all chairs and move all chairs and umbrellas under patio roof
o Remove
all pool toys and store them neatly in the garage
o Sweep
concrete pool deck and discard any trash
o Make
sure the putting green lights are off (switch is in the Master Bathroom) and all covers are on the
holes
o Check
to make sure BBQ grill is closed and OFF
Final
o Turn
all three thermostats to OFF (Kitchen,
Hallway by Office, Master Bedroom)
o Check
to make sure all doors and windows are closed and locked. Make sure
the foot locks are secure on the sliding doors and the handles are lifted to secure the locks on exterior
French doors.
o Make
sure all toilet handles are in down position and no water is running
o Turn
Washer and Dryer settings to OFF
o Spread
any wet laundry/towels out in the kitchen to dry and leave note in the front of the bindertelling whether it is clean or dirty
o Put
the trash cans on the curb (Garbage day is Monday so it’s ok to put the can out if it’s only going to sit
for a day or two)
o Close
front gate
o Hang
keys and garage door openers on hooks just inside garage door
o Make
sure garage door (to house) is unlocked
